River Rapids Sock- Part 1
The River Rapids Socks are halfway there! One complete sock! Look how beautiful it is-
I love the way that the heel did a sort of checkerboard thing-
It is made from Knit Picks Sock Memories in S'mores. Yummy chocolate brown, caramel brown, off white, and baby blue.
And in true Moonlight Knitter fashion, I promptly cast on for another sock- but not its mate!! I have severe SSS- second sock syndrome! I get bored easily. And, my rationalization, I won't be wearing these socks for months! It was 90-something today! Not quite wool sock weather! So I had some more Sock Memories in the stash, in Flower Power. I cast on for what I think will be a short sock. I am winging it. But the heel from River Rapids will definately be used! I love it, it is a very sturdy heel. And I will be calling these socks Kool-Aid, because the colors are straight from the Kool-aid aisle at the grocery store! Very bright!
And I have a kitty moment
I can't remember if I have introduced him yet, but this is Pete. He is our BIG cat! He is 20 pounds and thinks he is a dog! He is bigger than our dog! The Boys call him FiFi, long story, I will explain another time. Anyway, Hubby had just given him treats, and they were cuddling! So when anyone comes to our house, the first thing is always "That cat is huge!" We know! He is! And we love every pound of him! My youngest rides him like a horse- and he lets him!
More on Kool-Aid next time!

The sock is gorgeous! I love that color! Ah, the old SSS. I'm occasionally afflicted with that as well. ;-)
