Are we there yet?
Is anyone else feeling that way about the holidays yet? My Hubby does not like Christmas. I think it is mostly because he works at FedEx and it is crazy there this time of year. But also, it is trying to figure out what to get people for gifts. I love and hate it! I love it when I know what to get. But then there are those that I have no clue what to get! Oh well, they will have to deal with it!
Anyway, I had a great Thanksgiving, as I mentioned yesterday. We had 53 for dinner at my Grandma's. It is days of planning by many people! I help as much as I can. I helped try to figure out seating again this year. And, YES, we all sit at a table to eat. And, we use real dishes! The only thing Grandma has given in on is plastic cups! That is a lot of dishes. But after dinner, there is talking and catching up with all my aunts, uncles and cousins. And, there is usually entertainment. See-
This is my Dad playing the piano, surrounded by a few of my aunts and my Grandma. It was fun!
I started Christmas stockings for The Boys on Sunday. Here is the progress on Big Boys-
This is Knit Picks Shamrock in Dougherty. I had not tried this yarn until now. I am liking it! Baby Boys stocking is planned in Kelley. The cuff on both will be the same color, Fitzpatrick, to tie them together.
Last night, I made it to QCSnB. Laurel, who owns The Yarn Shoppe, was celebrating her one year anniversary in business this month. She was completely surprised! There was cake and LOTS of yummies! Congrats Laurel and keep going!

And I'm back!
Whew! It has been a wild month. I am glad it is coming to an end. I am not sure where to start. I am feeling good about my medical decisions. I have a clean bill of health now. Hubby goes to have a cyst removed from his inner thigh Friday. It has been bothering him for awhile. It will be nice to be on the other side of the table with him. Big boy had his first dentist visits this month. Good news is he was not scared at all. He has his teeth cleaned and x-rays. Bad news is he has a cavity. No biggy, but we are going to wait until the first of the year. The dentist said there is no harm in waiting. And the Holiday season is going to be crazy I think.
But I have been knitting! Assorted Christmas presents have been finished. I will show a few.
This is one of about 8 dishcloths that I have finished recently. They are all different and will be gifts.
This is a potholder. The pattern is from Knit Picks. They are currently drying outside. I want to take these on a test drive first before I decide to give them as a gift. I am not convinced it will be a good oven mitt.
Here are a few more pairs of felted slippers. These will also be Christmas gifts.
There are a few others that I cannot show. After Christmas, there will be a lot of updates.
My Aunt Marilyn was here for Thanksgiving, along with MANY others. She brought her finished Hanne Falkenberg creation.
It is beautiful! I have put a Hanne on my list, but it will be late next year. I have to save my pennies!
I have a lot more to tell about my Thanksgiving with my family. Dinner with 53 relatives is always cozy! But I will wait until tomorrow.

All Clear!!!
We got home from the doctor around 7pm. Hubby had to run to bowling. I finally had a minute for an update. The diagnosis- I have a non-cancerous fiberous mass in my left breast. So all is well! I have a followup in March, to make sure nothing has changed in the lump. Otherwise, I get a clean bill of health.
Thank you everyone who sent good thoughts, vibes, prayers my way. I think they must have worked! Hopefully things can get more back to normal here now. Updates soon on knitting, I promise!

Halloween 2006
My family loves Halloween!
This is Big Boy as an Indian, my Mom and Baby Boy as a Cowboy. My Mom made the costumes. And, that is not her natural hair color! Ha! Ha!
No new news on a sooner Doctor appointment for me. But I think I am making progress with a different Doctor. I don't want to completely revel my tactics, but it involved crying. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with the situation I think!
