What about Bob?
I hope everyone had a happy holiday! Once back at home, all has been well. Christmas with my family is the best! The Boys had a very successful holiday. They seemed to have gotten everything they wanted from Santa. Including Bob. Who's Bob, you ask? Here he is-
The Boys got a kitten. We told them that they could name him. So, we have a cat named Bob. As in, Bob the Builder. So, we have Bob the Cat. Its better than crayon or shoe or banana!
I got some goodies also! I got 2 gift certificates to local yarn shops! Yeah! Yarn for a gift! And my SIL and Brother gave me these-
This is a skein of "My Favorite Things" from Cherry Blossom Fibers. It's beautiful! And a cute little red bag from Lexie Barnes. It is so nice to have a SIL that knits!
Speaking of my SIL, would you like to see what she got? OK-
Hubby made her a table top swift. It breaks down to almost nothing. It is BEAUTIFUL! I am happy to say that he will be making more to be sold at a local yarn shop, hopefully before the end of the month! It is so exciting!
I think that is all I have to report for now. More soon!

Bah Hum Bug
We are back safely from Wisconsin. And I learned a lot on this trip. So, please, all of you out there remind me of what I am going to say next year. I will never knit one stitch for anyone who I don't think will appreciate it! Yes, I eagerly waited as the gift I worked on for days was opened. The one that made my wrists ache. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Back in the box it went, and was stuck back under the tree! It took me a few to get over the urge to cry. Hubby consoled me the best he could. He even tried buying me happiness. (It helped a little!) The gifts I made that will be given on Christmas I am not worried about at all. They will be loved. I am sure of that. So they will be the only ones getting hand knit items next year! I am sorry for this post. I will snap out of it!
Happy Holidays to all of you!

Green & Yellow
That is where we are headed. Where everywhere you look, people are wearing green and yellow. People have flags outside their houses, bumper stickers on their cars. EVERYTHING Packers! So I had to make this ugly thing in Packer colors for a gift-
At least a dishcloth is a quick knit. So we head to the Land of Cheese when Hubby gets home for work. We are hoping to get there by 9 pm. I am gifting a few of my knitted items this weekend. I hope to then have a few pictures of them in their natural environments. We are having Christmas with Hubby's family Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and at noon on Sunday. That should cover all of them!
I am eager for the new year, when I will be making a hat for Hubby, and then ME ME ME! It is time for me to knit selfishly! We will see if it happens. Happy Holidays!

My Life. My Blog.
My blog is all me! It is where I can show my work and someone might understand it! I don't have that at home. Hubby tries, but I can tell that he doesn't care if I SSK or K2TOG. I saw this meme here. It is fun, give it a try!

Can I pull it off?
Can I make a beret "work"?
I whipped this up while we were buried under 13.5 inches of snow! It is Wendy's pattern. I have worn it right side out and inside out. I like it both ways. I think I need to block it though.
I also worked on a scarf for me also-
It is this pattern. I LOVE it! The pattern is only a 2 row pattern, so simple to memorize.
I also started mittens to match. I am only on the ribbing on the first one. I think they will be plain, with maybe a big cable down the front. I will figure that out today, sometime.
So, I am sure everyone saw pictures of the snow the Midwest got. As I said before, we got 13.5 inches Friday night. We only have one shovel, so Hubby did a lot of shoveling ( and yes, we wll NOT get a second shovel- I have no plan to shovel, that is why I got married!). Here he is heading out to shovel Friday morning-
Hubby decided to ride the sled down the steps to start shoveling. That is one of the things I love about him. He will always be a kid inside! He took the Boys sledding also-
They had fun! I watched and took pictures. I hope you all got dug out- stay warm!
