Lover's Leap
I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! We don't do anything big for v-day usually. Yesterday was no exception. Hubby had bowling league. BF and I went to see a movie. Very romantic! There were presents though. I got Hubby 2 wood clamps. Nothing says love like wood clamps! What did I get?-
My first skein of Socks That Rock in Lover's Leap! I think I actually squealed! And I wouldn't put it down! Thanks Hubby!
I have a FO to show off also-
This is the Made With Love Layette (minus the sweater). It is made in Cascade Cherub Kaleidoscope color #1321. This was an easy knit. There have been corrections to the pattern, so if anyone has printed it out, make sure you check! I didn't! It had the charts messed up. I made it work. I went back to look because the finishing of one of the peices was missing. Thats when I found the corrections! And for the record, I printed it off a couple of weeks ago. So it wasn't like months had passed and I decided to pick it up and go. They really need to proof read patterns better! It was obvious something was missing. Sorry, I was ranting! This is for my uncle's baby. The baby shower is Feb. 24. Look at that! Done in plenty of time!
In other news, I started a hat. No pictures yet. Soon. My Perfect Sweater has made NO progress this week! Why you may ask? This-
This is Hubby's finger after tangling with the table saw! He kind of fileted it. A chunk was missing. They closed it up though. Nothing broken and no function lost. Just a stupid moment! It looks good, trust me! When it happened, it made my stomach turn a little. It is stitched closed and will heal weird. His dreams of becoming a hand model are over though! Anyway, he can't do some stuff. So it has all been stuck on me! Which is my knitting time. Oh well. So his production on swifts has stopped for this week. He should be working on them again this weekend! We are low on stock. More in stock next week!

And The Winners Are...
Laura won the two skeins of Wildfoote!
Janelle won the two skeins of Sock Garden!
I want to thank everyone for the well wishes! I really enjoy my blogger friends ;) Winners- your loot will go out Monday!
In other news, we have been selling swifts pretty well. We ran out earlier this week. I whipped Hubby back into production, so we have a couple in Etsy right now. More to come by the end of this week.
In actual knitting, I finished my Lacy Kerchief Scarf but I just hadn't had time to get a picture. So here it is-
The stats:
Started 1/20 Finished 1/31
I used less than 5 skeins of elann Sonata in what I am calling Pewter. I really enjoyed this knit. It went smoothly. This was my first chart reading and my first provisional cast on. Both of these I will do again!
So I started something else then. The Perfect Sweater from Mason Dixon Knitting. I am doing the v-neck version with a picot hemmed edge. I had a gift certificate to a LYS from christmas, so I used that for some Cascade 220 The Heathers. The color is #9345. It is the most beautiful grapey purple! And I also picked up one skein of Cascade Quatro in #9437 to add to the sweater for an accent. I used it on the bottom hem and will use it at the v-neck collar. Then the rest I think I will use on the sleeves until it is gone. So far I haven't gotten to far. My goal is to have it done by Easter. Here is the beginning-
This is an inside shot of the hem and I think it looks fab! I can't wait to see how this turns out. This is my first adult size sweater.
Otherwise, in small pieces of time I have been working on the mate to my Aran Braid sock and I have whipped out 4 washcloths this week. I think I will be replacing all of my nasty washcloths with some yummy knit ones! Some of out washclothes are yucky! Here are the ones I made this week-
These are just the plain old ballband dishcloth from Mason Dixon. I have made them a little smaller. I did 33 stitches wide. They are more manageable for my hand and The Boys! Baby Boy thinks they are great! He loves the bright colors. So I hope to get a bunch of those done so I only have pretty washcloths!
I think that is all for today. There is big excitement here! The Boys are going to spend the night at Grammy and PaPa's tonight. Oh so exciting! 18 hours alone with Hubby. So far we are planning a movie, dinner, furniture shopping, and hours at the book store! And then sleeping past 7am! I can hardly contain myself. I love my Boys, but this sounds great to me! See you:)

Blogger (Silent) Poetry Reading
In the spirit of the day, here is mine. Not necessarily a poem, more of a quote. But it is one of my favorites. It is poetry to me.
Art washes away
from the soul
the dust of
everyday life.
-Pablo Picasso
Also- tune in Sunday! It is my blogiversary and I have a few give-aways and offers set up!
