Moonlight Knitter

It is just busy here! This time of year is tough for me to blog. I spend as much time outside with the boys as possible. Yes, I have a laptop. But I just don't remember that I can take it outside with me to do that.

Anyway. I have been knitting. I finished a Jaywalker. Yes, one. I will pick the mate up after one Thelonius. Yes, after I finish one Thelonius. I did finish a PAIR of socks though. I made a pair of Hanauma Bay socks made with Jitterbug Bright Charcoal. Here they are-

This knit up fast and easy. Nice. And I LOVE Jitterbug! Yes, the yardage is smaller. But I finished these with about 2 grams leftover.

Speaking of Thelonius, here is a shot of where I was a few days ago-

This is working up pretty good. A LOT of charting! I am using Louet Gems in a baby blue from The Loopy Ewe. I will definately use this yarn again. I wasn't sure about it at first. But the knitted fabric is nice and soft. I have turned the heel and I am about half way down the foot.

Otherwise, my progress will be slow this week. Hubby is out of state all week with work. And this parenting thing really gets in the way of my knitting!

soon! I have everyone else packed. I am not yet. We are leaving at 2:00 today. First stop on vacation...Chicagoland! I managed to rearrange vacation a little so I would be passing through when The Yarn Harlot was there! This is the closest she is coming to me, so I wanted to make it work. We have a room in Oak Brook close to the Borders where she is speaking. We are staying at a place with a pool so Hubby can keep Big Boy and Baby Boy occupied while I am with The Harlot. I am so excited! Unfortunately, my book that I pre-ordered at Overstock still has not arrived! So I will have to get one there. Anyway, I hope I don't say anything stupid!

We will then head to WI wednesday. Thursday and Friday, Hubby have reservations at a B & B in Door County. It is supposed to be cold! Oh well. Two nights without The Boys! EEeeehh! I might actually get to sleep past 7 am! I plan on getting in at least one blog post while away with pictures. I hope to find a few yarn shops along the way.

In actually knitting news, I forgot to take a picture of my Mom in her new Jaywalkers. Next week. I finished another pair for me. The purples ones I showed last time. They are drying. Otherwise, I started a pair of Jaywalkers for me in CTH Monet colorway. See-

I am loving this yarn. And the colorway is fabulous!
