Moonlight Knitter

I have another shot for my series "Things in the Bathroom". This one is a little different. I put this one in the bathroom, as opposed to my 4 or 2 year old. My Baby Boy. He often gets in to some trouble. Two days ago he decided to paint...THE NEIGHBORS CAR!!!

Let me start with a little info. First, luckily, neighbor is also BF. Second, she has a 2 and 4 year old also. They play together all the time. Third, BF had paint cans out with the lids off to let them dry out so they can be disposed of. Of course, MY Baby Boy was the one to "dip" into them. She had the paint cans out for 2 days before this. Nobody touched them! But we all laughed! It was only latex paint. It cleans right off with soap and water. And BF got her car washed! Life with two small boys.... what else can I say.

OK. Knitting. Right. I have been moving along on my Pomatomus socks.

I still hate knitting these, but I love how the pattern looks. So I am plugging along. And, they are snug on me, so they will go into the Christmas gift pile. That's a good thing though.

Other news, I am participating in Sockapalooza 4. This is new for me. But I have heard from both my pals. I ordered her yarn. I just need to pick a pattern.

Also, BF is graduating Friday as a LPN! Finally! I am so proud of her. It has been a tough couple of years. After a divorce and with 4 children, nothing is easy. I like to think that Hubby and I have been a big help. And, it is nice to have a nurse next door.

That's all for now. Big graduation bash and a birthday party this weekend! And BF's Mom from Alabama gets here Friday. That woman can cook! I will have to walk TWICE as much to work off all the calories in the wonderful food she makes! She called BF last week wanting to know what kind of pies we all wanted her to make while she was here! I think the list is up to 6 different kinds! OH MY GOD!!

I just can't get it all done in a day! I must have unreal expectations. It has been warm, so we are outside as much as possible. That cuts into everything I want to do. Then we had spring planting to do. Garden in pretty much in. And my Aunt gave us a bunch of hostas to transplant. That was huge! Those things are expensive! And we seem to have all shade!

Anyway, I did finish my Jaywalkers.

These were made in Cherry Tree Hill Monet colorway. The second picture is more true to color. Overall, I loved the pattern. This is my second pair and I am sure I will make them again. BF mentioned she liked the pattern. I had 16 grams leftover from this skein. So I whipped up a pair of baby socks Tuesday. But I forgot to take a picture of them before giving them away! Maybe I will catch a picture of the baby in them someday!

I started another sock last night.

This is the start of Pomatomus. The yarn is Lorna's Laces in the Mother Lode colorway. This is the first time I have used this yarn. I picked up 4 skeins on vacation. I love it! I see why it has a good reputation! I am not loving the pattern yet. It is essentially a 1x1 twisted rib. I HATE 1x1 ribbing! But I will stick it out.

Thelonious was put under the table. Kind of like time out. I am mad at it. And I have to concentrate on it so much! No time for that right now. And it is almost done.

To me, this looks like some tragic plane crash during a long air fight. Or it could have been put there by a 4 or 2 year old boy. Any other Moms out there want to share any of their "Things in the Bathroom" pictures?
