My Baby Boy
Baby Boy is 3 today!
Wow! And what does a 3 year old want for lunch on his birthday? Of course- all things dip-able! Teddy grahams, graham crackers sticks, grapes and apples- all dipped in cream cheese dip. Yummy! And I asked what kind of cake he wanted, because it is funny to here what he says. He wanted a polka dot cake. OK. So tonight we will have the ice cream cake I made, that has sprinkles in the batter. Polka dots! We had polka dot cupcakes yesterday at the waterpark with the neighbors-
Fun was had by all.
I am a little flustered with my Baby turning 3. He starts preschool in August. Uugh! I worked so hard for these boys! As fun as bedrest may sound to you, try it for 4 or 5 months!! No fun! I miss that "baby" smell. I miss nursing. I still steal a few cuddle moments here and there. But it isn't the same. I would love to have more, but the cards were stacked against me. So, I am trying to look at new good stuff. Like, he can put on his own sandals. He is going in the potty (mostly). He can entertain his self for a couple minutes. He sings (all though not always well). He laughs, a TRUE laugh when he is happy. And there is no doubt that he loves me! No matter what my hair looks like in the morning!
So there it is. My ode to my 3 year old!
PS- Knitting update soon! Sockapalooza socks are almost done! And my bracelets are selling like crazy!

Happy birthday to the boy! It is bittersweet when you step back and see how much your kids grow. I am on my last baby, my #4, now 6 months old. While I love the fact that she is getting easier I keep thinking about things I will never experience again. I too am trying very hard to enjoy my kids here and now, and not wasting time and emotion thinking about how things were when they were smaller.

Happy birthday, Baby Boy! I didn't realize our guys had birthdays so close. I am so with you on missing those baby days - the nursing, the quiet cuddling, all that baby sweetness. I'd love another too, but it's not in my stars either.
They grow up too fast!! I hope he had a happy day and will have a very happy year.

Wow, he really is looking older now! I wish we could see them (and you, of course!) more often.

This picture is wonderful! 4 little bodies all lunching in the back of the van. My two with their teen and nearly teen bodies wouldn't fit there now... it goes so fast!
