Blanket

The baby blanket I started last time is done!

I think it turned out very nicely.
Started- July 23
Finished- August 1
Yarn- Cascade Kaleidescope in white and multi
Pattern- Mitered Baby Blanket (pattern at Knitting Pattern Central- link not working right now!)
Needles- Denise 8, in varied cord lengths
I pretty much knit the pattern as written. When I got down to the last few rounds, I just stayed with the one color and all in knit stitch. It was to awkward to switch yarns and just wanted to be done. One of the best parts is that it is done before the baby was born!

Still working on the Spunky Jaywalkers. They were set aside so I could finish the blanket. And then life got in the way of knitting and I didn't knit for a few days! I picked them back up yesterday and I am almost to the heel.

Big Boy goes back to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. Last time they took a x-ray and it isn't healing as fast as hoped. He will be in a cast for awhile still. We are hoping tomorrow they can put him in a short arm cast at least. He will most likely be starting school in the cast. I saw the x-ray- it was a big break!!

Not much else exciting going on here. So I will leave you with a picture of yummy tomatoes from the garden, that I then roasted and tossed with pasta! It was good!!!
