I know..

its been a while! And I have written this post already and lost it!

Life has been in the way.

We had the first day of school for Big Boy-

But the most exciting part was day two for Big Boy-

What? What is different? No cast! He had school in the morning and got his cast off that afternoon! He is doing well. Funny fact though- he is still eating with his left hand! Last night at the dinner table, he was poking peaches with a fork in his right hand and scooping rice with a spoon in his left hand! It is amazing how children can adapt!

We had a trip to St. Louis with BF and her squeeze-and without the boys. It was fun. We squeezed as much fun as possible into those 28 child free hours! Most of which I can not show pictures of! Here is one we can show-

We took an Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour! It was fun! And the reward at the end was a nice sampling of icy cold beer! Mmmm, beer!

There has been knitting. Just not much!

These are booties I made with the Saartje's Bootees pattern (warning- pdf link). I made another pair in boy colors that have been gifted already. I am casting on for another boyish pair today. Quick knit and so cute! And perfect for any sock knitter out there with leftover yarn!

I also got my Sockapalooza 4 socks today-

These are from Elizabeth G in MI, who is blogless. They fit! They are made with Claudia Handpainted in this color, I think. She couldn't find the ballband. That happens to me all the time! They have a delicate little cable down each side. Thank you Elizabeth!

Otherwise, I started another pair of Monkey socks, the jaywalkers are my on-the-go knit, and I started a chevron scarf! More on all of that next time. Hopefully soon!

I'm so glad the cast came off!! He must be so relieved. Even sleeping is so much easier without a cast on.
And a weekend away- that must have been great. Sounds like you had fun!
AND, I'm glad you got your sockapalooza socks! The color is great, and they look like they fit perfectly.
I'm putting your yarn in the mail tonight on my way home. Finally! Sorry for the delay!
