Catch-up
Busy, busy, busy! School is work for the whole family! We are finding this out. And since the Boys are in two different schools, that makes even more work! Not to mention we are, what, a month into the new school year and we have had two notes from Big Boys teacher! That broken arm really set things back. He is not wanting to write. And he is not paying attention. I'm not sure how to fix that! I think he is bored. Baby Boy is doing great though! Although, I haved failed horribly with the potty training aspect. He just can't get it.
As far as me and the job interview. Well, he called me, told me I was his #1 choice but had to interview at least two more people. Then, he up and got sick! He has been out for almost two weeks! He doesn't know what this is doing to me! I did get an e-mail from him saturday night, letting me know he is hoping to be back this week sometime. He said the position had not been filled and said he is hoping I am still interested. YES! Hello!! Get your ass better and back to work! I will start tomorrow! Hey! I haven't worked this century! And not only do The Boys keep eating, they keep growing. They each needed new shoes in the last two weeks! Anyway, I am ranting. So, please keep you crossables crossed. I may need it!
Knitting? Right!
New hat for Hubby, loosely based on this pattern. I used two colors of Cascade 220 superwash. He asked for a hat that covered his ears and was "floppy". OK.
What else.
Mom asked for a pair of booties for a baby gift. Then a woman at her work saw them, so she needed a pair for her new grandbaby. I love these! They work up so quick! And they have that super cute factor! And, with leftovers!
Next.
GIANT socks for Hubby! Size 13! OUr anniversary is October 13. These will be his anniversary present. One done. I can make it! It is the swirl sock pattern. With ShelbyB's yarn in nasty Packer colors. The yarn is not nasty! The colors are, which I had her dye up just for Hubby! This shows how much I love this man to knit him socks for his size 13 feet in packer colors! FYI- did you know that the 7 year anniversary is wool? Hee! Hee! Wool socks! Maybe he will get me yarn?
Next. I have two other xmas knits going. I will show when more progress is made. I have one sock of each pair done. Its moving along
Juliet is ok. I am about half way through the garter stitch top. I am becoming increasingly bored. But I keep making myself go. After all the garter, I get to start the lace. I hope I will like this damn thing. But it is a bonus that I am using stash. I will show it when there is something more interesting to see.
That's all for now. And to drop a little note, I am creeping up on a little blog milestone. Who will leave the 300th comment? Not sure, but that person will get a prize!!!

No drive.
That's how I feel. Like I am a bit unsure about what I may want to be knitting. Nothing feeling exactly right in my hands. But that hasn't stopped me from trying. I have a few FO's-
These are a cute little pair of Saartje's Bootees. They are in the mail to a friend as we speak. They weren't alone-
There was one more pair that I gifted already. These are so fun! I have been using leftover sock yarn. I love it when I can make something out of nothing! I have a few more planned, including some in sportweight on bigger needles.
Another FO? Yep!
Another pair of Jaywalkers! These are mindless knitting now. And the first Christmas gift done! These were toe-up with Wendy's toe-up gusset heel. These popped off the needles as my on the go knit. Wait in line- knit a row, wait for the boys- knit a row, take the boys to park- knit a row! Love that!
Otherwise, I seem to have started a whole bunch of stuff!
These are Kaibashira with Chicago Bears dyed yarn from ShelbyB. I made a special request for this yarn and I love it! The pattern is fiddly. The beginning sucked, casting on 187 stitches! But it is looking ok.
A chevron scarf from Last-Minute Knitted Gifts. I love how this is looking! I am using STR in Azurite (not on the ste right now) and Koigu that my Mom got for me. This will look great with my winter coat, if I ever get it done! More mindless knitting.
This is RPM in Online supersocke Summer color. And Juliet in my own handdyed yarn. RPM is another christmas gift, so that feels good to be doing. Juliet was an impulse. I am not sure about it yet. But I will hold off my judgement until the end.
I think that is all that is on the needles for now. See- I am kind of floating around, not sure what I want to do.
In other news, I need to ask all whole will to cross their crossables for me. I have applied for a few jobs. Considering I haven't worked in this century, I am nervous. I have already turned one down. Not right. There is another one that I have already had a second interview for- I want that one! I hope to hear this week. And as I was writing this post, I got a call for an interview for another job. I guess I am getting the urge to do something for me. The Boys are in school a little. This would be part time. And my god- these boys can eat!!! And they are only 3 & 5! I am scared what my grocery bill will become, so I figure I better get out there now and start trying to earn a little cash. And maybe have a little cash leftover for yarn!!!

5
Today's post is brought to you by the number 5!
Big Boy is 5 today! 5!!! Crazy! Five years ago at this time I was in labor. I was miserable! I had preeclampsia. At 34 weeks. The doctor took my blood pressure at one point- never a good sign! Hubby said my blood pressure was 200-something over 160 and up. I don't really remember. One thing I remember is hearing my doctor ask the nurse it they had what they needed in the room if she started to stroke. I remember saying I wonder who they were talking about? Me! They were talking about me!! But I didn't. He was born at 13:14 weighing 4 pounds! He isn't so little now!
Happy Birthday Oliver!!!
